FACILITIES & LOCATION
This shell and core renovation was designed and constructed by Designer Turkey. The existing structure had an astonishing amount of space to work with being a detached villa in Istanbul. These are quite a rarity to find without building your own on virgin land. It features 2 bedrooms and 3 baths. But it’s charm is in the shared living spaces. On the ground floor the action centers around a beautifully large patio that faces the garden. While on the upper level guests are entertained on the grand balcony that overlooks the property.
ABOUT THE VILLA
This renovation took a fantastically built shell and turned it into something Gatsby would live in in 1960’s New York. There are many references to Art Deco throughout the interior design of the spaces. That does well to lift each area of the home above mundane. But the essence of the sight lines and floor plans echo a high class Mid-Century Industrialism. The wood accents throughout the house connect each space together in spirit regardless of function. The last major aspect of this design is the way it connects the interior and exterior together in a way the 1960’s never dreamed of. This being a generous amount of space in Istanbul, and a large adjoining garden areas being rare in the city, that connection has been made natural and open.
